As the largest chapter of project leaders in Michigan, primary focus of Great Lakes Chapter is to enrich the knowledge, skills, careers, and maturity of its members in leading projects for stakeholders’ competitive advantage. Also, PMI is accepting nominations for the 2012 PMI Project of the Year Award are due on 1 March. The 2012 PMI Project of the Year (POY) Award recognizes the accomplishments of a project and project team for superior performance and exemplary execution of project management. Project should have been complete in 2011. Another update is on the PMI membership area. The PMI Board of Directors has approved an increase of US$10 to regular membership dues. Effective 1 April 2012, dues for regular members will be US$129.
